ABOUT THE EPISODE:
On my way to film this episode, I met a man who, after I shared with him the reason and passion behind the “Waking Up In America” show, told me it’s time to give up being ‘warriors’ and become ‘agents’ of the positive change in the world.
Here is the dictionary definition of both:
a) warrior : a person who fights in battles
b) agent : a person or thing that causes something to happen
Sometimes it’s seems easier to fight the battles – usually they aren’t even our own battles, and most often, we end up endlessly defending ourselves… Even our attacks are a form of defense.
Causing a change is hard. It’s really hard. Especially when all of us know that we can’t change anyone – except ourselves. And that’s just it – we can only ’cause’ the change in the world if we are changed first. If we become the change we wish to see.
