Season 1 – Episode 9

Every song and every singer has their own unique story. It’s that story that weaves itself into the fabric of music, reaches our souls through the sound waves, and initiates a response.

The Eurovision Song Contest is happening this week in Copenhagen, Denmark – check it out at Eurovision.tv (Opening ceremony is on May 4th and Grand Final Competition Event on May 10th at 9 pm Copenhagen time)

A few months ago, I was asked to review six songs for ESCxtra.com. Immediately I found a favorite
– Carl Espen’s “Silent Storm” (Norwegian entry), but the other songs were pretty good too. Many performers have great, inspiring stories, and many of their songs address worthy social issues and deliver positive and uplifting themes. (Read my list of favorites and reviews here)

This inspired me to share with you the story I had brought with me to my performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1990 – and the most valuable lesson I learned from it – and sing the mega-hit “Hajde da ludujemo”.

YOUR TURN

It’s not only celebrities and pop-stars that get caught in the ‘success’ and lose their way. It happens to everyone and not just on a ‘high’ level of success. This is where the faith played a big part in my life, and I’m sure many of you have experienced the same.

We all know that happiness IS a success. But success ISN’T always happiness.

For those who have both, let’s make sure your Light shines bright and generously lift up others.

And for those who are hitting some rough waters, let’s accept the graces and goodness that will open up the new paths – by keeping our hearts and our minds open and filled with gratitude.

Inspiration is what we all need to support us on our journey. Just like Europe comes together once a year in an attempt to connect through music, let’s join in this week and feel the power of being one family in one Life that was given to us by our Creator.

So, SHARE this episode with someone who needs to be reminded that it is their our soul, our beauty and uniqueness that best serves our purpose in the world – and make it a better place.
